Bart Schieveld

I have been working as an anesthesiologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since October 2016. I focus on general anesthesiology and cover everything the profession entails, with an interest in (complex) airway and ultrasound-guided locoregional techniques.

as a patient, it can be hard not knowing what to expect when you come to the hospital for surgery. An important part of our work is guiding our patients through the procedure with a sense of safety and trust. We concern ourselves with anesthesiology, pain treatment, and monitoring the vital parameters. Together with the anesthesia assistants, we provide personalized care every single day. 

The high quality of care and the personal attention we provide our patients make the Netherlands Cancer Institute a great place for me to work.
