Karin Ariese

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as an anesthesiologist-intensivist since 2011. As an anesthesiologist, I monitor my patients' vitals during surgery, like their breathing and blood pressure. I make sure that my patients receive adequate sedation and good pain treatment after their surgery. At the intensive care, I treat patients who are seriously ill and often need to be ventilated.

Providing medical care is very fulfilling. I try to support my patients and their loved ones through these turbulent times.
