Christianne Lok
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a gynecologic oncologist since 2013. I previously did my fellowship at the Center for Gynecologic Oncology Amsterdam (CGOA; Centrum Gynaecologisch Oncologie Amsterdam), a collaboration involving the NKI.
I am closely involved in the treatment of pregnant patients with cancer and am the secretary of the national Advisory Board on Cancer in Pregnancy (AKZ; Adviesgroep Kanker in de Zwangerschap) and a member of the International Network of Cancer, Infertility, and Pregnancy (INCIP). I also work as a secretary for the Work Group Trophoblastic Tumours (WTT; Werkgroep Trofoblast Tumoren).
I am responsible for robot-assisted surgeries at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, together with two of my colleagues. This type of surgery is increasingly more common in the field of gynecology. My main area of interest is the treatment and research of ovarian cancer.
