Richard Dirven
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a head and neck surgeon since 2018. I received my Ear, Nose, and Throat training at the Radboud UMC in Nijmegen, after which I completed my specialist training in head and neck surgery at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse in Sydney (Australia).
The Netherlands Cancer Institute is a unique hospital because it allows specialists from various fields and backgrounds to openly communicate and collaborate in teams, within patient care, and in research. This allows us to deliver the most innovative care to our patients.
Within the field of head and neck surgery, I am primarily interested in the treatment and rehabilitation of laryngeal cancer and reconstructive surgery during major surgery.
