I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2013, and not a day goes by in which I am not happy to be at the institute. At its core, our hospital aims to provide a suitable treatment for every single patient, in close collaboration with our patients and their preferences. Even when we are unable to cure the cancer, we still try to help people at the best of our ability by discussing the situation and, if desired, by offering new, innovative types of treatment.
I am especially interested in breast cancer treatment - primarily the development of new types of immunotherapy.
