Myriam Chalabi
I started working as a medical oncologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2016. I specialize in treatment of gastrointestinal tumors (such as colorectal, stomach, or esophageal cancer). It is important to treat cancer together as part of a committed team of medical and clinical nurse specialists. The dedication, knowledge, and expertise I find in the medical staff at the Netherlands Cancer Institute makes working here unique.
We also conduct a lot of research into cancer treatment at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, in order to further improve our treatment at the benefit of all our patients. My own research is centered around immunotherapy for gastrointestinal cancers. It is vital that different disciplines cooperate and are represented in my research, because without each other, and without all of the participating patients, we would never see progress.
