Astrid Scholten
After working at the LUMC in Leiden for 15 years, I started working as a radiation oncologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2014. I specialize in the treatment of breast cancer and soft tissue tumors (sarcomas).
Because radiotherapy is often delivered in combination with one or more other treatments, such as surgery or chemotherapy, we closely collaborate within our multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure that we can provide personalized treatment and care to all our patients. At the Netherlands Cancer Institute, we have the opportunity to combine patient care with scientific research, in order to contribute to the further improvements of cancer treatment.
