Marlies Nowee
I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2009. I specialized at this institute and started working as a radiation oncologist in 2016. I primarily focus on the treatment of gynecological tumors, for which I closely collaborate with our gynecologists and medical oncologists, and MRI-guided radiotherapy. On the MR-linac (MRI accelerator) we use MRI imaging every day when delivering radiotherapy, and our goal is to further improve precision in the delivery of our radiation treatment for better results and a lower risk of side effects. As a radiation oncologist, I am involved in the implementation of this new technique. I also conduct scientific research into the improvement of treatment with the MR-linac. It is my challenge to always strive towards the best care possible for every single patient.
