Monique de Jong
I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2008. After completing my training and PhD research, I now work as a radiation oncologist. I primarily treat patients with brain tumors and metastases in the head or other parts of the body. I conduct research into combination treatments involving radiotherapy and drugs that halt tumor growth (such as immunotherapy).
I enjoy my work at the Netherlands Cancer Institute because this hospital treats its patients as people instead of numbers. Together with my team, I provide a personalized treatment to every patient. We also continue to innovate and improve our treatments through our research.
