Arend Aalbers

I have been working as a surgeon at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2009. After my training as a gastrointestinal surgeon, I dedicated myself to the full spectrum of colorectal surgery: primary and reoperative surgery, laparoscopic and open surgery, and liver or peritoneal metastases.

The Netherlands Cancer Institute is one of the few hospitals in the Netherlands that are fully equipped to treat patients with all these types of colorectal surgery. My goal is to offer all our patients state of the art multidisciplinary treatment with a strong focus on excellent clinical care and progress through innovation and scientific research, every single day.
