Marcelle de Smit - Boon

I started working as a nurse at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in January 2003. After my oncological training, I worked at the surgical department for 17 years. This is where I gained a lot of experience in the field of wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.

I have been working at the wound, ostomy, and continence clinic since 2020. Delving further into health care and having to think/act creatively is what appeals to me. Collaborating with other disciplines, ensuring the right care and developments within oncology is why I have been enjoying working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute for such a long time now.
