I have been working as a neurologist specialized in oncology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2016. I primarily focus on the treatment of tumors in the brain and spinal cord, as well as the neurological complications in cancer treatment.
It is an exciting challenge for me to find the best treatment for every patient. This doesn't just involve a treatment plan but also involves the quality of life in survivorship after the treatment. For the best possible treatment, it is essential to work together with neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists. Working together to ensure the best care possible for our patients as well as innovative research makes the Netherlands Cancer Institute such a great place to work.
