On October 1, surgeons Hester Oldenburg and Marie Jeanne Vrancken Peeters of the Netherlands Cancer Institute will publish their book about breast cancer, Alles over borstkanker, in collaboration with the Dutch Breast Cancer Society (BVN).
The surgeons have noticed a need for a referential work about breast cancer. The amount of information available on the internet can be overwhelming and it is vital that they are well-informed so they can be involved in decisions about their treatment.
Besides the two surgeons, 27 authors working in breast cancer care have produced content for the book, all from a different discipline. Medical oncologists, a radiation oncologist, plastic surgeon, physical therapist, and medical social worker.
For patients, their loved ones, and medical professionals
The book is an interesting work of reference for all breast cancer patients in the Netherlands, their loved ones, medical professionals, and other interested parties. If you have a patient with many questions about their breast cancer diagnosis, please refer them to this book. Would you like to order several copies for your medical practice, please order the book online or find it in book stores as of October 1.
