Radiotherapy for colorectal cancer

Radiotherapy can be a treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer who have had surgery, in order to decrease the risk of recurrence. We can deliver the radiation with increased precision thanks to new development in radiation techniques. You may receive a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

You will receive 5 to 25 sessions of radiotherapy. Each treatment will take about 15 to 20 minutes, although you will only actively receive the radiation for 1 or 2 minutes.
