Multidisciplinary clinic

Treatment for esophageal and stomach cancer is delivered by a team of physicians and clinical nurse specialists. We call this a multidisciplinary approach. Many patients will need multiple treatment types, like radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery. nce a week some of these people with esophageal or stomach cancer are seen at our multidisciplinary clinic. We often manage to get a good impression of the situation in one day and can come up with a treatment plan. Some patients will need to undergo additional examinations. These will take place shortly, so we can still start the treatment as soon as possible.
