Neuro-endocriene Tumoren van de Long (NET)
Some tumors in the lungs arise from the neuroendocrine system. Neuroendocrine cells regulate hormone production, which in turn regulates several bodily functions. These cells are present in many organs such as the pancreas, colon, and lung. Some symptoms caused by these tumors are coughing, fever, and hot flashes. Diagnostics and treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NET) are different than for other types of lung cancer.
