Announcement departure Prof. dr. René Medema

Prof. dr. René Medema intends to resign from his board positions at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as of April 1, 2024. René Medema started as chair of the Board of Directors and as scientific director of the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2011.

“Next year, I will have been working in this role for 12.5 years; the perfect moment to pass the baton to someone else and take on a new challenge myself. Over the last years I have greatly enjoyed working towards our organization's ambitions. With great gratitude and certainly some sadness I will start my final year at the NKI. But I am looking forward to being able to contribute to our ambitions, including our collaborations with KWF Dutch Cancer Society and Amsterdam UMC.
