Trials
Our specialists at the Netherlands Cancer Institute have developed an app, 'Melanoma Trials', containing all running clinical trials for melanomas.
Medical oncologist Christian Blank:
“Melanoma specialists at the Netherlands Cancer Institute are often approached by external parties who want to know if their patients with stage 3 melanomas can participate in a trial. These patients have often already started their treatment, which usually disqualifies them from participation. It is vital to make sure that surgeons and medical oncologists know what their trial options are before starting treatment. This app is designed for specialists, but patients can find information on it too. I do recommend that patients view the app together with their physician. He or she can help interpret the information.”
You can download the Melanoma Trials app at the App Store.
