Wouter Evers (voorzitter)

As the partner of a patient, I first got to experience the unique care and commitment offered at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2011. The best diagnosis and treatment, that was always the highest priority. But care is so much more than just that. 

When it turned out that we needed intensive treatment again in 2017, we experienced how useful seemingly small gestures and a focus on the quality of life can be during such a traumatic time for the patient and their loved ones. It is amazing how all employees at the hospital manage to maintain this quality of care and even improve it every single day.

As a member of the Patient Council, I want to contribute to reinforcing the position of patients and their loved ones by offering advice to the directors, to help provide great care and treatment for all patients at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, now and in the future!
