Mischa Simon
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2018. I studied and received my training as an anesthesiologist in Leiden. Then I worked as an anesthesiologist and pain specialist at the LUMC.
Pain is one of the most common symptoms that patients with cancer face, and it can greatly affect the quality of life. Thankfully we have many ways to minimize pain. Together with the patient, we discuss the possibilities and come up with a pain treatment plan.
The collaboration with experienced and driven colleagues and our patient-centric approach are some of my favorite aspects of working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.
