Sannine Buma

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as an anesthesiologist in the operating rooms and pain specialist since 2013. I received my anesthesiology training at the VU Medical Center and specialized in pain treatment with a special focus on palliative care (2007 - 2012). I then trained in palliative care for medical specialists (2014). 

My pain team strives to treat pain that is a result of cancer or its treatment. We offer treatment at the wards and the clinics. I am also part of the Supportive Care Team, which offers support for patients who can no longer be cured. At the NKI we have room for intensive guidance and personalized plans to accommodate all our patients' symptoms.
