Ludi Smeele

I have been working as a head and neck surgeon at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2003. Together with a team consisting of specialists like head and neck surgeons, radiation therapists, and medical oncologists, we try to find the best possible treatment options for head and neck cancer. Then we consider how to best use the treatment to most effectively fight cancer, together with our patient. During our aftercare, we try to fight the side effects caused by the treatment and facilitate rehabilitation. Our goal is to bring the patient back to the level of performance they experienced prior to the treatment.
