Towards the end of 2018, I started working as a medical oncologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, the same place where I received my oncological training. I primarily treat patients with urologic cancer (bladder, prostate, or testicular cancer).
The Netherlands Cancer Institute allows for plenty of opportunities for research through which we can further improve our care. Thanks to our research, we can now offer our patients treatment with immunotherapy. Opportunities like these make the Netherlands Cancer Institute such an inspiring hospital.
Working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute is especially great because it allows us to put our patients central to their treatment. We all work together to be able to deliver the best patient care. Our team is very close-knit, which further improves our care.
