Marcel Soesan

I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2019. 

Before that, I worked as a medical oncologist at the Slotervaart hospital next door for quite a long time. During my time at the Slotervaart hospital, we closely collaborated with the Netherlands Cancer Institute. All specialists met up to discuss patient cases together on a weekly basis.

After the Slotervaart hospital was declared bankrupt, I made a 'new start' at the breast cancer team of the Netherlands Cancer Institute where I feel right at home. We are a very driven team with a focus on research and patient care. 

It is a great experience for me to further develop myself as an oncologist after many years as a general specialist. As a team, we have a wealth of knowledge that can be translated into advanced patient care. I am glad to be part of this team.
