Frans Hogervorst

In 1995, we established the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI). Here we research mutations in the genetic material that are a root cause of certain types of cancer, like breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and colon cancer. The field of DNA diagnostics has seen many rapid developments over the past years. By putting these developments in practice, we hope to find more families with hereditary predispositions for cancer.
