Corine de Bruijn-Ferwerda

I have been part of the team of medical social workers at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since August 2016. Besides my medical social work, I work in systemic psychotherapy - dealing with the patient's direct social environment. My expertise within the team is guidance in hereditary cancer for those seeking advice from the Outpatient Clinic of Familial Tumors (PFT). In addition, in 2022 I will start giving mindfulness training within the Center for Quality of Life.

I aim to offer psycho-social support for patients and their loved ones during all phases of the illness. This means that I will help you (and your loved ones) find solutions to deal with the problems you are experiencing. I can also offer information on the progress of the illness and what you can expect.
