Emilia Owers

I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since 2016. This institute centers commitment and groundbreaking care. Within the field of imaging, I make daily use of various scan methods, such as PET and CT, with a special focus on the challenging combinations of these techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy. My specific areas of interest are lung cancer, esophageal and stomach cancer and head and neck tumors. I am also involved in treatments using radioactive substances, particularly in thyroid tumors and bone metastases.

As a trainer, I share my knowledge and practical skills with young doctors and students. I see this task as a privilege that encourages me to keep my own skills sharp and up to date.
