I started working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in September 2016 as a nurse practitioner with a focus on colorectal and liver surgery. I previously worked as an oncology nurse at the general surgery and surgical oncology inpatient department.
I enjoy my work at the Netherlands Cancer Institute because the institute specializes in cancer and scientific research. People are researching the best treatment options for every single patient, by focusing on the tumors. We work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of people with various specialties throughout the NKI. We also keep our patients' wishes in mind and aim to consult all our patients when working on a treatment plan.
