José van den Berg
I have been working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute since April 2016. I previously worked at the Pathological Anatomical Laboratory at a peripheral hospital for 9 years and came to the Netherlands Cancer Institute because this institute immediately implements the latest developments in terms of (molecular) pathology into its personalized treatments.
The patient is central to the treatment at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, and our multidisciplinary teams aim to provide personalized treatment for all patients. I am proud to be able to contribute in terms of diagnostics and research. My focus points are gastrointestinal tumors (including neuroendocrine tumors), skin abnormalities, and tumors in the chest.
José is now the medical head of the professional group of the Pathology Department.
