Anne Huisman
Since early 2012, I have been working as a hospital psychiatrist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Together with my colleagues, I treat patients who are facing mental problems as a result of their illness, or whose preexisting mental health issues have gotten worse. In my treatment I use psychotherapy as well as medication. It is important to me that psychosocial care is a normal and standard aspect of oncological care. The lines are short at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and we closely collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to offer every patient a personalized treatment plan.
