Abrahim Al-Mamgani
After working at the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute for 11 years, I came to the Netherlands Cancer Institute in 2014 to work as a radiation oncologist dedicated to the treatment of head and neck tumors.
Treating head and neck tumors is an incredibly complex process that usually leads to various side effects. That is why I am involved in research into the optimization of head and neck cancer treatments alongside my patient care activities. My motto is "Less is More". The goal of my research line is improved aim in radiation treatment in order to prevent damage to the surrounding structures, which will help minimize the side effects our patients will face, improving their quality of life.
Working at the Netherlands Cancer Institute distinguishes itself through close collaborations within the multidisciplinary teams, as well as outstanding infrastructure for the development of new treatment methods and the optimization of existing techniques.
